Wet Installation Method

Supplies Needed

  • Squeegee (Supplied free with every order)
  • Application Fluid in Spray Bottle (Mixture of 1/2 quart (500mL) of water, 1/4 quart (250 mL) of 99% rubbing alcohol and 1 teaspoon of liquid soap)
  • Kitchen paper towel

  • Each Decal Consists Of 3 Layers

  • Top layer (application tape)
  • Middle layer (decal)
  • Bottom layer (backing wax paper)

  • Steps

Room and application surface temperature is recommended to be 50° F or 10° C.

    1) Clean application surface thoroughly with application fluid.
NEVER USE AMMONIA BASED CLEANERS (i.e. Windex). It will out gas for a couple of weeks and create bubbles under the decal.
    2) Remove backing wax paper, exposing the adhesive side of the decal.

    3) Use application fluid to spray the surface area where the sticker will be installed on. Make sure the surface area is completely sprayed down.

    4) Spray application fluid onto the adhesive side of the decal.

    5) Apply the adhesive side of the decal to the surface. Now you can adjust and readjust the decal without damaging it.
    6) Go over the top of the decal with a squeegee. Repeat this a few times until you remove most of the application fluid between the decal and the surface.

    7) Wait about 1/2 to 1 full hour depending on the outside temperature. If you do not want to wait you can use a hair dryer and go over the decal. After the decal has dried gently remove application tape by pulling straight back, leaving the decal on the surface. If decal comes off with the application tape (Top Layer), re-apply decal with squeege(Step 6), and wait about 1/2 hour before attempting to remove application tape again.

    8) Spray application fluid on the installed decal and squeegee again while wet. (The application fluid will lubricate the decal and keep it from scratching.)

    9) Use a pin to perforate a tiny hole in any bubbles and squeegee towards hole to remove the air or water bubbles. The hot sun does the best job at removing tiny wrinkles and air/fluid bubbles.

    10) Inspect all decals and re-squeegee as necessary (don't forget to wet the decal first). Allow a few days in the hot sun before washing or waxing decals.

Please do not power-wash on the decals for several days to allow the adhesive to cure fully.
