Decal Install Guide: Sun Visor Decals

Supplies Needed

  • Squeegee (Supplied free with every order)
  • Application Fluid in Spray Bottle (Mixture of 1 teaspoon of liquid soap in 1 litre of water)
  • Kitchen paper towel

  • Each Decal Consists Of 3 Layers

  • Top layer (application tape)
  • Middle layer (decal)
  • Bottom layer (backing wax paper)

  • 1) Clean and wipe application surface thoroughly with application fluid.
NOTE:NEVER USE AMMONIA BASED CLEANERS (i.e. Windex). It will out gas for a couple of weeks and create bubbles under the decal. Which will result in accidental decal peeling.

    2) Spray application fluid all over the windshield in order to slide around visor strip with ease once applied. This will make it easier for you to get a levelled fit on your windshield.

    3) Slowly peel the wax backing sheet fully exposing the adhesive side and spray application fluid on this adhesive side. You will then place the vinyl on the wet windshield (adhesive side down). Slide the decal around in order to get a good level placement on the windshield.

    4) Once you have aligned and placed the vinyl the way you want it, you will now need to spray more application fluid on the vinyl as shown in the image. Make sure to leave excess vinyl passed the top and sides of the windshield. This will help ensure you have a clean fit when you need to cut your vinyl with a razor. Now make sure to squeegee out all bubbles and water from you vinyl strip. Squeegee from the center out to ensure that all bubbles and fluid have been removed. The adhesion process will now begin.

    5) With an "Exacto Knife" or Razor, slowly cut along the edges of the vinyl as shown in the images above. and remove any excess vinyl. Now, sgueegee out any more bubbles or fluid that are still there.

    6) If you notice any bubbles, just get a pin and poke a tiny hole in the vinyl, then squeegee the air bubble out by rubbing over the hole. The hole in the vinyl will naturally close the tiny hole that was made.

Let your sun visor sit for 24 hours before washing and waxing, or driving in inclement weather (rain/snow/freezing temp). Your vehicle is still drive-able; the vinyl strip will not peel off.

ENJOY YOUR NEW SUN VISOR DECAL!
